Matthew Scott
Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer
Matthew Scott is a Chartered Accountant with more than twenty years accounting and commercial experience. He commenced his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) where he worked for seven years in Brisbane and London performing a variety of roles including audit and assurance and business advisory. For the past fourteen years, he has held a number of commercial positions including twelve years in the coal industry in Queensland. Mr Scott worked for Foxleigh Mining Pty Ltd for nine years in a number of commercial roles, the last four years as General Manager Finance. During this period, he managed the commercial and financial areas for the Foxleigh coal mine in the Bowen Basin, from development, construction to operations and the successful trade sale in early 2008. Since then Mr Scott contracted as Commercial Manager at Whitehaven Coal prior to joining Bandanna Energy Limited. Matthew joined the Company in late 2008 as CFO and also became Company Secretary in early 2009. Matthew is an alternate director for Ray Shaw on the Wiggins Island Holdings Pty Ltd, the company responsible for the development of the new WICET terminal. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
