ATP 549 (West)

ATP 549P ( West) (Bandanna 41.66%)

ATP 549 (West Block) lies to the south of ATP 539. The north western limit of the Cooper Basin Permian section traverses within this permit. This permit is dominated by a thick Jurassic and Cretaceous Eromanga Basin sequence and to the east of the Permian subcrop edge, Permian, overlain by Triassic aged, sediments.

To the north of the permit lies the Cook Oilfield and to the east the Marengo Gasfield as well as a number of other Permian gas fields.

Several wells have been previously drilled within the permit, including MacKillop 1, in which Triassic gas pay has been interpreted, and a more than 50m of oil staining intersected in the Hutton Formation in Wyerie 1, in the permit immediately to the north.

Nulla Nulla 1 was drilled in September 2004 as part of the farmin agreement for the Company to earn 41.66% in the Block from Icon Energy and Great Artesian Oil and Gas Limited. This well tested a large fault related anticlinal structure located in the western portion of the Block. The primary target was the Hutton Sandstone reservoir and although some fluorescence, indicating the presence of minute amounts of oil were detected, detailed wireline log evaluation and drill stem testing determined that there was no movable oil and the well was plug and abandoned.

Future focus for exploration within this permit will be on the deeper, eastern part of ATP 549 block and the MacKillop Anticline which are more proximal to Permian source rock sequences. Leads in this area include Mirra, McKillop and Yamma.
