Drilling of Paprika-1 commenced on 11 June 2006. Located in the central western portion of the PEL106 Permit , this well reached total depth of 2919 m at 1830hrs on 28 June 2006 in the Merrimelia Formation. Paprika-1 was designed to test primary reservoir objectives within the Patchawarra Formation within an anticlinal structure located approximately 13 km southwest of the Cadenza-1 new field gas discovery. Subsequent wireline logging indicated the well had penetrated several interpreted hydrocarbon bearing zones. Although three DST attempts were misruns, indications of hydrocarbons were obtained during the pre-flow in DST #2, confirmed the presence of hydrocarbons and the well was cased and suspended for future testing. It is intended that a cased hole production test will be carried out on this well during 2009. Bandanna will earn a 12.5% interest in any production line granted over this block.
