Summary PEL 106

PEL 106 encompasses the deeper portions of the Patchawarra Trough in the South Australian Cooper Basin. Here gas and condensate targets are sought within the lower Patchawarra Formation sandstone sequences associated with both structural and stratigraphic traps. Enterprise has farmed into Great Artesian Oil and Gas Limited’s interests in several blocks; Smegsy, Rossco, Paprika, and Udacha (which covers both portions of PEL 106 and the adjacent PEL 91). Proximity to infra-structure mean that exploration in this area is "brownfields" – that is, a relatively low geological risk area with proven nearby exploration and production success, located adjacent to existing infra-structure.

Gas flows to surface having been recorded during the drilling of Rossco-1, Smegsy-1, and Udacha-1. Mis-runs of the test tools prevented a valid test of interpreted hydrocarbon bearing zones in Paprika-1. All four wells were cased and suspended for further cased hole production testing (CHPT). Successful CHPT would then provide a basis for any decision to complete the wells for commercial production. The interests that Bandanna earned in each of these discoveries is contingent upon a commercial discovery being made and a production licence being granted by the relevant authorities.
